Blab #9 - Blab for the 9th time - Monday, 14th September, 1998

Pom pom pom and a bottle of Rum.

Mentioning the number "9", I come to think of the well-known swedish clan Nine from Nine studios. The reason they're on my mind is because their acknowlegdement in the online gaming community. It gives me some hope for the future of pro-gaming. On my mind here is the PGL) in particular. Europe has a lot of great gamers, and so does the rest of the world for that matter. And it saddens many of them not being able to join a big internet competition like that. I for one wasn't able to be in the PGL since I don't happen to reside in USA or Canada. BAH. But now, on Battlenet, two Nine (they're from Sweden mainly) members have gotten some special permission to be in. WHY COULDN'T I GET THAT TOO BACK THEN??? WAAAAAAAAAAAH

On the subject of the PGL in TA last season... a lot of rumours have been going around about it. But you know what? I'm not gonna get into it, cause it's all rumours. :)

ARG, THAT DOES IT!!!!!
NOW someone has gone and made a blasphemic new version of the otherwise Great song "why worry" (Originally by the Everly Brothers I think... Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits have probably the best known version of it). IT'S A DISGRACE. Another unknown band probably jumping on the wagon, making an easy BUCK. Just taking the original melody, throwing a more "in" beat, some female main and backing voice, and some sporadical rapper doing his homeboy thing in the Hooooooooood. BAH, it sucks. Only good it does is to remind me of the Original song, but then I just wanna hear that one instead, and get frustrated if I don't happen to have it in my CD collection. BAH I say...

*Doing da gnug immobile stationary chair dance*

Anyways, just recently got the chance to really check out the wonderful comedy series "Southpark". And well, it's weird, and somewhat demented, but hilarious as well. Cartmans lovely voice is the single most favorite thing of mine, and it's what keeps me coming back for more. And ofcourse, the totally sick, twisted and demented humor. Do check the weirdness out on: http://www.comedycentral.com

On something minorly TA related. As I was checking out Cavenews, a newsletter concentrating only on games coming from Cavedog, there was a link to another site which had an interview up with Clayton Kauzlaric from Cavedog about TA:K. This other site was RTS Network which says "Get the new here or get the news wrong". Well, it seems they got the news somewhere else, as the interviewer(s) on twice occasions ask questions with the assumption that TA:K is an Expansion Pack. Smooth, really smooth... If ya wanna read the bloopers yourself, and an otherwise nice interview, go to: http://www.rtsnetwork.com/interviews/cavedog.htm. I assume that they just wrote or gathered some questions outta nowhere and sent 'em in one chunk to Cavedog or something like that. Still embarassing, hehe.
