Well, I didn't think I'd get THIS far atleast. Thought perhaps I'd get discouraged and uninspired along the way. Well, I have to admit, inspiration hasn't always flowed so greatly to make a Blab, and lack of time has kept me away for up to several days. Fear not, I shall strive to go on and on, making new Blabbing's about nothing and everything and anything I feel up to Blab about. Some would say it's a bunch of meaningless... Blab... Well, it kinda is, but I myself have found SOME meaning in all the meaninglessness and pointlessness atleast.
Speaking of Meaningless/Pointless stuff. I found what I concider to be a VERY amusing site which basically contains a HORDE of useless facts. It's titled: "Deb and Jen's Land O' Useless Facts". And it is crawling with some of the weirdest facts that you might never see, know about, or have ANY use for, except maybe in a Useless Facts trivia contest. The facts DO have another use in my opinion. And that's to entertain. Atleast they entertain me. Some random facts here of different character: "Kermit the Frog has 11 points on his collar around his neck." - I bet you didn't know that :). "The first atomic bomb dropped on Japan fell from the Enola Gay (named after the unit commander's mother). The second dropped from a plane known as Bock's Car." - Some real, historical and scientific facts included there aswell as you can see. Just like in school where you learn a lot of useless stuff ;). I made up my own little Useless fact. It's based a lot of some internal humor, namely the much used word: Boiler. Well, here goes: "The creator of "The Operational Art Of War"'s last name actually means "Boiler" in Danish (his name being 'Norm Koger')". Now I bet you didn't know THAT.
Ah, ok, a much wanted return to the subject of World domination here: Orc98 Emailed me recently with a SUPER idea: Compile the Blabs into an entire BOOK. And yes, I could only embrace that idea as a brilliant one. The Gnugs could surely attain world recognition and fame for it, so all power to Orc98 for coming up with the idea and sending it to me.
In the ladder news department things are relatively slow. Hardly anything has happened on the Kali ladder these last few days, basically no serious climbs from anyone. I'm still stuck at #4, not having all that much time to be stalking around the place to pick up a match. When I finally DID get on, I came into Kali only to find the place deserted for ladder players. So I decided to head in to Mplayer, and managed to get a match, which I won, and I climbed to the mid 70's.
Ah, it's another day here now, and SOME news atleast occurred. Samiam played h0t0d for the #1 spot, and from what I am told by Samiam, he had the advantage when h0tr0d disconnected from the game. CyberDrgn was watching, but we haven't been able to get any comment from him. We're especially interested in hearing who had the favorable position when the game disconnected. We will have to get back to CyberDrgn when (if) he returns.
On a more sad note here: Gnug315 got his first loss on the ladder. The player who accomplished this somewhat honorable feat was no other than Machinehead. He's been rather abscent these last weeks, but now is back, and seems in shape still. 315 tells me that the map was Sail Away, and that he was foolish enough to try the map without going sea first. His comments to that were: "Bah". He adds that Machinehead played very well, and did what had to be done: Sea first, get all the underwater metal, go for Adv. K-bot lab's and build Pelicans, and support with air. Congrats yo Machinehead on this "honor :). And now let's all hope that Gnug315 gets over it. hehe (Bah - ed.)
Gnug315 showed me a funny little article on "Gaming addiction" at www.gamecenter.com (click here for a direct link).
On the subject of good articles. Online Gaming Review (www.ogr.com) has a few columnists who on a regular basis churn out some interesting articles I can recommend you to read. I can just aswell recommend the entire site here. It's great in the news department, lots of previews on a regular basis, great and objective reviews and loads of other stuff. Here's a direct link to the article that I read today. As you can see, it's called "What's the deal with...". And it's somewhat their voice of complaint about anything that's on their mind. This time around, the latest trend of "Hunting Games" gets a chop at the liver. It's Gnug215 and Boiler approved :)
Well, that's all for now, until the next blab, Liberty and Foozberries for all. Arh, I like that Ending :)
