Might as well get cheesy with the headlines :)

I will jump straight into it.

Ladder News (tm):
Arh me matey. As my winning streak had paralelled the old one, and the stakes become higher and higher, I decided to put it all on the line. I challenged Samiam for a game on Oooweee. My rank was #4 at this point, and I would bump Telamus if I won it. Samiam would not be an easy match, and I wanted full concentration with this. So I sat there, totally alone in the big room in our cyber-café. I got me the best computer there is (number 4 In my opinion :). Settled down, and psyched myself into battle. No serious crap and "I'm gonna kick your @$$" kinda thing, which less mature people indulge in, but a more humorous approach (Like: "If I mess up, you'll do something to mess up too, ok?"). Joking ofcourse.

Ok, so we start playing. I do the standard thing like the boiler that I am, doing 2 windmills, 1 metal extractor, air plant, more wind, and churning FF's (Freedom Figthers) and scouts. My scout gets up to where he starts pretty fast, and I saw he was going for k-bots. Pretty unusual if you ask me, but it does make sense afterall. He had done more resources than me, was making more, and my FF's could do nothing to his newly built missile towers.

I had a feeling he wasn't planning to stay grounded, so I quickly lifted my commander safley into the middle island and got a vehicle plant up and running, while watching Samiam's progress with my peepers. Though it's hard to constantly scout, and see everything he does at all times, one can basically follow the direction your opponent is taking, and take the necesary countermeasures. I saw his airplant as it had just gotten up, and had a scout, and some FF's patrolling around his isle. He diverted those with a few FF's of his own, and managed to atlas construction units from his main isle. Even his commander, which showed up on MY home island, which was totally undefended. Doh. I still had the middle island, and held it firmly. His commander had ofcourse neutralized my airplant on my home isle, together with the few resources there. It set me back a bit. But never give up, and I didn't, I fought on, and with all the resources in the middle, I was quickly back up and running, atlassed construction vehicles to the left and right, claiming isle after isle. The end result of the expanding/claiming-isles thing was that I owned the middle (ofcourse) and some 3-4-5 of the surrounding 8. He proceeded to construct a BB (Big Bertha) on one of those isles. And it came up with furious speed, with his commander help-building and all. I went for Advanced bombers in that time, and got 10 of those up before his BB came up, and started firing. I moved my commander into safety, scouted for a target on the BB. He had constructed a fortification wall surrounding that BB, but there was a teeeny weeenie flaw in that wall, and I came in from That angle, diagonally from the south. And BOOM did that BB blow up nicely, taking out most of the missile towers around it aswell, leaving his commander relatively defenceless. I killed most of the hawks he had, and proceeded to kill the commander aswell. GG, and Gnug215 moves up to third position and get's his 10th win :)

Like the boiler that I am, I had to go throw the streak away just after that. I agreed to play Silvertool (he is somewhat infamous for being laggy), he picked map and that was cold place, as usual. And basically, I'd blame it all on lag, as my units were quite effectivless against his. I wasn't sitting on a great computer, so that get's a part of the blame too. Now I don't wanna be the one down playing his win, he played very well ofcourse, but it is always stressing to see that some things just don't go like they usually do in a lagless game.

Arh, this JUST in. Ok, not JUST. I went to sleep and came back now to write on. Well, to the point. CyberDrgn (Recently renamed to BoilerDrgn) Just managed to conquer ROCK. And oh how the BoilerDrgn was happy about this, being the FIRST time EVER that he has been able to win vs. Rock. I talked to Cyber - I mean BoilerDrgn - after the match, and he told me that it was quite lucky that he managed to win. The map was FM (Full Moon), and the standard 1k/1k setting. The game went on, and BoilerDrgn was losing territory, so he decided to Porc in, and go for a BB. WHile Rock was busy, making plasmas, slowly eating in on BoilerDrgn's base, the BB did get up, and with the 7th shot, it killed Rock's commander. GG. Rock was in shock. And BoilerDrgn was extatic :). All in good clean fun though, and Rock reported straight away ofcourse.

Gnug315 is back in the top 10, nice to see him there, where he belongs :). And a new entry. Another Dark horse it seems. This character goes by the name of "Tiny", and is currently ranked #7.

Ah, another day here now (jeez, these things take you days to write? - ed.), and we have learnt that "Tiny" is infact "Hawk3". Yes, the PGL champion himself is back. Perhaps a bit rusty though, since I beat him last night in a game of GoW.

OK, a SPECIAL report here. It's about names. It's now official that THREE players have renamed themselves in the name of "Boil":

• h0tr0d is now known as "h0tboiler"
• CyberDrgn is now "BoilerDrgn"
• Machinehead is now... you guessed it, "Boilerhead".

Now I don't know what started this craze, or Trend, whatever you migth call it, but at this rate, the entire ladder will be boiling within the end of the week.

Ok, so I used up a little too much space maybe for the laddernews (tm), BUT HEY !!! IT'S MY BLAB !! :) Gnug315 think's there's too much laddernews (tm) and too much of it is irrelevant and boring. Well, that's just him, and he's eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil. But I do take all critique into concideration, and I will try to please him too. Ok, so I asked him what he felt what would be interesting to the "General Boiler". His reply was: "how Synthetic Foozberry Goo is made".

Well... Pooh on him, it's a big Gnug-government secret, and I wont reveal the secret reciepe :)
