Quote of the day:
HAPPY GNUGDAY !! :)
Arh, so it's a year gone by for the Gnugs of Earth. And a great year it's been. Ofcourse, not everyone has been in it from the beginning. Gnugs arrived on Earth sporadically, and one as late as a few weeks back.
The GnugPage didn't come up instantly after arrival. But after a while, we realized that it was sorely needed. As a source of information about both the Gnugs, TA, Other games, and other... weird stuff... *cough*.
The #Gnug channel on IRC took a while to appear, again, it took a while for us to realize the need for a channel for us to interact with humans. :)
One of the things the Gnugs have been most happy about here on earth is the ever present emerging of Gnug-Friends. Yes, the nice and friendly humans which the Gnugs eventually evolve a friendship with. These have steadily grown in number, and are a lot of the time to be found in the wonderful #Gnug channel. :)
So what have the Gnugs accomplished in their time here on Earth ?
Well, I don't truly know what we've accomplished seen from a broad perspective. I think that's up to individuals to determine, from their perception of how the Gnug presence has accomplished anything, good or bad.
So if you have anything to say or some statement to make, feel free to do so anywhere you like. If you use our wonderful Gnug Forum, I might have an actual chance to see it tho. (Hint hint)
But what do I think the Gnugs have accomplished in their time? First off, we've established a good base for a future Gnug Invasion. Uhhm, I mean... err... Nevermind that one...
Heh, but seriously... We've managed to create quite a community, with some hard-core regulars, friends and others frequenting our #Gnug channel.
We've gotten quite the reputaion too. What the reputaion out there is these days, in general, I would say I really don't know, since I haven't been able to play much TA on the various gaming services for quite some time now. I do get to hang in #Gnug in the weekends, and some normal days in between, and talk to the Gnug-friends. I know those think nicely of most of us, as we have them in high regards too.
I, personally, have been able to get a lot off my chest, and out into the open through my Boilers corner (tm). Not that I think I'm changing the world by preaching in here, but I would like to think that I'm doing some good... Heh, perhaps I'm just being selfish tho, as it seems to be mostly for my own benefit. Anyways, my intentions are good. :)
The year has been one of developement, growth and settling in for us Gnugs. And we do intend to go on in those same tracks. New games will most likely come along the road, and perhaps eventually replace TA as the game of our main focus and passion.
We intend to have some Gnug events, where the Gnugs, and hopefully Gnug-Friends and others, will get together to enjoy eachothers company.
Like I've mentioned earlier, I'm still on a seeeeeecret mission which will endure for some 4 more months. I'm hoping to be back in full force after those 4 months, playing, Blabbing, Boiling, whatever.
Finally, I would think that the Gnugs are, and are concidered by others as, something much more than just a bunch of jolly TA players. To me, we are much much more than that.
Ok, so, I will have to return to my seeeeeecret mission soon now. Just came home especailly to say hi to the people of #gnug (those who were there at that hour), and to write a little Blab for the joyous occasion.
Didn't have much time to write this, or think about what to write really. But that should probably make it even more comprehensible and meaningful than most of my other Blabs. ;)
So until the next time, whenever that is, have a nice Gnugday, and remember, probably all of those who read this have contributed, and are contributing, in some way to the power of Gnugdom. :)
Gnug215 signing off !
